NTPC starts piped water for fishermen

UNDER NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station, a piped water supply scheme along with a ground-level water tank of 20 KL was launched at Jalaripeta, a fishermen village near Mutyalammapalem on Thursday. Under its CSR initiative, Rs14.30 lakh was spent to ensure access to potable water for 385 families of Jalaripeta.

Visakhapatnam: UNDER NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station, a piped water supply scheme along with a ground level water tank of 20 KL was launched at Jalaripeta, a fishermen village near Mutyalammapalem on Thursday. Under its CSR initiative, Rs14.30 lakh was spent to ensure access to potable water for 385 families of Jalaripeta.

Annamreddi Adeep Raj, Pendurthi MLA and Girish Chandra Choukse, General Manager (O&M), NTPC inaugurated the water supply scheme in the presence of Syam Kumar Dagani, DGM (HR) & CSR team Members, sarpanch of Mutyalammapalem and others.

In tune with "Jal Jeevan Mission" of Ministry of Jal Shakti, NTPC Simhadri has set a target to supply piped water to 28 villages in its neighbourhood in Parawada mandal and nearby areas.
